AI for customer service

Spend AI on understanding the case, then carry the resolution across your systems.

Support operations involve more than producing an answer. A case may need an incident owner, engineer, field technician or another team before it can be resolved. Nexus uses models to interpret the request, assemble the next owner's context and draft the response, while deterministic workflow steps handle lookups, links, routing and approved actions across CRM, service desk, engineering and collaboration systems.

Where the model earns its place

What AI does here

Each of these is a point where the input varies enough that a rule cannot settle it, and where the output is something a person can check.

  1. Interprets incoming requests

A model reads the permitted ticket context and proposes a service category and priority. Established routing and escalation policies determine the next queue and any required triage review.

  2. Builds the next owner's brief

A model organizes the symptoms, impact, attempted fixes and remaining questions from the authorized conversation. Engineers receive a source-linked handoff that brings the relevant history together.

  3. Drafts from approved guidance

A model combines case context with the applicable knowledge material to prepare an answer. The assigned agent reviews the draft alongside its sources before releasing the customer response.

  4. Finds applicable field guidance

A model brings approved manuals and asset history into a technician-facing answer in the requested language. Source references and the equipment context stay attached for the responsible technical owner.

Human control

Where a person decides

The named support owner approves customer-facing replies and escalation content, the triage owner decides consequential priority changes, and the technical supervisor authorizes controlled operational guidance. Refunds, commercial concessions and access changes follow their respective approval policies. A separate workflow step performs the approved send or action, with the decision and system response connected to the case.

Cost

Deterministic or AI

An account lookup, ticket link or established escalation rule does not need inference on every support interaction. Keep those repeatable steps deterministic and spend model capacity on interpreting the request, condensing the conversation or drafting the applicable answer. Nexus lets each step take the appropriate path, so growing ticket volume does not mean paying a model to repeat every known handoff. The deterministic and model-assisted use cases below work together as one service operating model.

See this run against your own customer service systems

Bring one process you would want to put a model in front of. We will map which steps stay deterministic, where the model is worth the call, who approves what, and what the run record has to show afterwards.

  • Runs on your infrastructure, including air-gapped.
  • Your model provider, or one you host yourself.
  • No system of record is replaced.

FAQ

AI for customer service: common questions

How is this different from adding a chatbot to the help desk?
The model is part of a complete operating workflow that also handles record lookups, team assignments, engineering handoffs, approvals and system updates. A conversation is one way to enter that process.
How do we avoid spending AI budget on routine ticket handling?
Keep known account matching, ticket linking and established routing rules deterministic, and call a model for the interpretation, summary or drafting work that needs it.
Who releases a drafted customer response?
The named agent approves the exact response before the sending step runs; commitments involving money or commercial terms follow the additional authority required by policy.
Can service context remain under our control?
Yes. Nexus can run with locally hosted models and permitted data scopes; source permissions and destination-sharing rules determine which content appears in each brief or response.
