AI for it and cloud

Put AI on investigation and planning while the workflow carries out the approved change.

Alerts, logs, incident histories and code changes contain the context an operator needs to choose the next step. Nexus uses models to organize that material and prepare incident or remediation proposals, then connects the result to the established change process. Cloud actions, service records and engineering work stay linked, so AI capacity goes to interpretation while the workflow handles the repeatable execution path.

Where the model earns its place

What AI does here

Each of these is a point where the input varies enough that a rule cannot settle it, and where the output is something a person can check.

  1. Groups related signals

A model compares alert descriptions and resource context to propose which events belong to one incident. Each event retains its reference, and configured routing and escalation rules determine how the group is handled.

  2. Brings log sequences into context

A model examines an approved resource and time scope and prepares a source-linked explanation of a candidate incident pattern. The operator receives the relevant event sequence together for investigation.

  3. Prepares remediation plans

A model combines permitted incident details with approved procedures to draft an action plan, prerequisites, checks and recovery steps for technical review. The workflow then submits the selected plan through the required change approval.

  4. Summarizes changes for approval

A model brings the exact revision, affected components and available check evidence into a concise change brief. The approver can move from the summary to the corresponding source material before deciding.

Human control

Where a person decides

The named incident owner decides how an investigation proceeds, while the change authority approves the resource, action and revision scope before production, configuration or access changes run. Technical owners confirm prerequisites and recovery arrangements as part of that review. Separate workflow actions perform the approved operations, recording their requests, responses and post-change checks.

Cost

Deterministic or AI

Event-ID checks, resource lookups, routing tables, deployment gates and health checks already have executable rules. Running them without a model call keeps routine operational volume off the inference bill. Spend model capacity on connecting symptoms, interpreting logs and preparing remediation or change briefs, where context needs to be read and assembled. Nexus combines both paths step by step, making AI part of production operations without making every event an AI transaction.

How governed AI automation worksRules first, model proposal second, policy check, human review, captured decision.

Bring one process you would want to put a model in front of. We will map which steps stay deterministic, where the model is worth the call, who approves what, and what the run record has to show afterwards.

  • Runs on your infrastructure, including air-gapped.
  • Your model provider, or one you host yourself.
  • No system of record is replaced.

FAQ

AI for it and cloud: common questions

How does this keep AI cost tied to useful operational work?
The workflow uses rules for repeatable checks and event handling, calling the model for the investigation, interpretation or planning task that needs it rather than for every operation.
Who authorizes a proposed remediation?
The named change authority approves the exact action scope after the required technical review. A separate workflow step executes that operation using the approved credentials and records its outcome.
Can our existing incident and deployment processes stay in place?
Yes. Nexus can connect model-assisted briefs and proposals to the service-management and engineering workflows you already operate, without becoming their system of record.
Can models and operational context run inside our boundary?
Yes. A local model and in-boundary sources support that configuration; workflows involving external cloud services use separately approved connectivity.
