The gap

AI can reason. Your organization still needs a way to act.

Models produce useful judgments. Production work needs far more than a judgment, and that is where most automation programs stall.

01

Systems and credentials

A decision only matters once it reaches the system of record. That requires reliable access to enterprise applications, databases and services, with credentials held in a vault rather than pasted into a script or a prompt.

02

Rules that do not drift

Thresholds, entitlements, tolerances and calculations should be deterministic. Nexus keeps that logic in explicit rules and code so its behavior can be reviewed and repeated, rather than inferred from a model each time.

03

Infrastructure and exceptions

Real processes provision environments, retry failed calls, route unusual cases and stop when something looks wrong. Handling the exception is usually the difference between a demonstration and an operation.

04

Approval and evidence

Regulated work needs a named person accountable for consequential decisions, and a record of what ran, on what input, with which model and under whose approval. Nexus captures that as part of execution, not as a reporting exercise afterwards.

Execution model

The complete operation, not another isolated tool.

Nexus runs the whole sequence in one execution. Nothing is handed between an integration platform, a scripting host, an AI service, a ticketing queue and a reporting tool.

  1. 01

    Trigger

An event, schedule, API call or queue message starts the run.

  2. 02

    Integration

A prebuilt action, API, protocol or database call reads the record.

  3. 03

    Rules + Code

    Deterministic validation, calculation and transformation.

  4. 04

    Sovereign AI

A self-hosted model interprets, classifies or recommends.

  5. 05

    Human Approval

A named reviewer approves, corrects or rejects.

  6. 06

    System Action

Nexus writes back or invokes the downstream service.

  7. 07

    Audit

Inputs, decision, reviewer and outcome are recorded.

  8. 08

    One run

All of the above execute as a single governed execution.

A single Nexus run: trigger through audit. Compact diagrams elsewhere on the site use the same sequence in abbreviated form.
The same sequence as it is built and operated: a governed workflow assembled on the Nexus designer canvas.

Execution mechanisms

Five ways Nexus gets work done.

A workflow can use any combination of these in a single run. The choice is a design decision, not a platform boundary.

01

Prebuilt connector action

1,480+ integration actions cover common operations in enterprise applications, databases, cloud platforms and services. Teams assemble standard steps quickly and spend their effort on the parts of the process that are specific to the organization.

02

Direct API, database or enterprise protocol

HTTP and GraphQL services, SOAP endpoints, SAP RFC, MSSQL and Oracle, and SSH access to systems that expose no modern interface. Coverage is not limited to the connector catalog.

03

Multi-language code node

Real code inside the workflow across eight runtime language families, so organization-specific logic does not have to become a separate service with its own deployment and support model.

04

Infrastructure operation

Kubernetes and Terraform operations, environment provisioning and platform tasks run in the same workflow as the business steps that request and approve them.

05

Self-hosted AI

Private models and retrieval interpret documents, messages, cases and signals without sending organizational content to an external provider.

Extensibility

Prebuilt where it exists. Programmable where it does not.

Teams start with visual components and move toward deeper technical control only where the requirement demands it. The workflow stays governed at every level.

  1. Level 1

    Visual components

Triggers, prebuilt connector actions, conditions and approvals assembled on the canvas. Fastest path when the operation is already covered.

  2. Level 2

    Configured interfaces

Direct HTTP, GraphQL, SOAP, database and protocol calls when the operation falls outside the prebuilt action set.

  3. Level 3

    Real code

A code node in the language and libraries suited to the task, with inputs from previous nodes and structured output for the next one.

  4. Level 4

    Infrastructure and platform actions

Provisioning, configuration and operational commands issued from inside the same approved workflow.

  5. Level 5

    Reusable building blocks

Proven logic promoted into modules, functions, forms and shared actions that other teams can call without rebuilding it.

Governance does not change as teams move up the ladder. The same workspace permissions, vault-backed secrets, execution history and audit record apply to a visual step and to a code node.

Almost any functional or infrastructure requirement can be assembled as a governed workflow. The honest exceptions are genuine hardware dependencies, specialist commercial products that must remain the system of record, and capabilities that do not yet exist in the systems being orchestrated.

Capabilities

What the platform includes.

Each capability is designed to work with the others. The value comes from the combination, not from any single component.

Direction

From deterministic automation to organization-specific AI.

Most organizations should not begin with autonomous AI. Nexus supports a progression that keeps accountability in place while interpretation is introduced.

  1. Stage 01

    Deterministic

    Rules you can verify

Validation, thresholds and calculations behave the same way every time and can be reviewed line by line.

  2. Stage 02

    AI-assisted

    Interpretation added

Models classify, extract and summarize where the input is unstructured, while deterministic steps still control access and actions.

  3. Stage 03

    Supervised

    Human accountability

A named reviewer confirms or corrects AI output before anything is written to an operational system.

  4. Stage 04

    Evidence

    Governed decision data

Reviewed decisions accumulate as structured records of how your organization actually handles each case.

  5. Stage 05

    Scaled

    Automation of proven cases

Case types with a consistent review history can run with lighter supervision, decided by policy rather than by assumption.

Captured decisions can be used to improve prompts, retrieval sources, policies, evaluations and, where appropriate, approved fine-tuning. This improves how well the system reflects your organization. It does not guarantee correct model output, which is why human approval remains available at any decision point.

Sovereignty

Execution, data, credentials, models and evidence stay under your control.

Nexus is designed to run inside the boundary you already defend, with no dependency on an external control plane for day-to-day operation.

Customer data center

Deploy on your own hardware and networks, operated by your platform teams under your change process.

Private and sovereign cloud

Run in a tenancy and jurisdiction you select, including regional and national sovereign cloud environments.

Kubernetes and OpenShift

Kubernetes-agnostic deployment, including OpenShift, so the platform fits the runtime your organization already supports.

Air-gapped environments

Operate in networks with no external connectivity, including model hosting and knowledge bases held entirely offline.

Workflow definitions, credentials, documents, retrieval indexes, model weights and audit history remain customer-controlled. Nothing needs to leave the environment for the platform to function.
